1 Educational Purpose & Musicological Study (Fair Use)
ChordGitar.in is an independent harmony study and music education platform. All chord interpretations, progression transcriptions, instrument diagrams, and lyric snippets presented on this site are intended solely for personal study, academic practice, musicological research, and artistic appreciation (educational fair use).
Intellectual copyright in musical melodies, lyrics, and original arrangements remains fully with the songwriters, artists, and associated music publishers.
2 Non-Hosting Policy for Master Audio Recordings
ChordGitar.in never hosts, uploads, distributes, or streams copyrighted master audio or video files on our servers. All media playback in our workstation and audio-sync features is executed via licensed official third-party player widgets (YouTube IFrame Player API and Spotify Official Embed Widget), ensuring monetization and official streams flow directly to the original rights holders.
3 Notice and Takedown Procedure (Notice & Takedown)
We strictly comply with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)) and applicable Indonesian copyright laws (Copyright Law No. 28 of 2014). If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative and believe content on our site infringes your exclusive rights, you may submit a formal written notice to our Designated DMCA Agent containing the following elements:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g. song title and official artist/composer name).
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and specific URLs on ChordGitar.in where the material is located so our team can locate it promptly.
- Adequate contact information for the reporting party, including full name, physical address, active phone number, and official email address.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Our legal team verifies and responds to valid notices within 1–3 business days according to standard operational procedures.
4 Counter-Notification
If a content contributor believes that removed chord material or submissions are not infringing, or that removal was due to a mistake or misidentification, the contributor may submit a formal counter-notification in accordance with statutory requirements.
