Welcome to ChordGitar.in. We deeply value the privacy of every visitor, musician, and platform user. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you access our site and use our interactive tools.
2 Information We Collect
When you register a Musician Hub account, submit chord or lyric contributions, manage stage setlists, or contact our editorial team, we may record your username, email address, and submission details.
To deliver a seamless practice session, your display preferences (transposition level, sharp/flat ♯/♭ notation direction, autoscroll speed, active Guitar/Piano/Ukulele instrument diagram, Dark Mode status, and favorite song list) are saved in your device's browser Local Storage.
We log aggregate operational data such as browser type, screen resolution, system language, approximate geographic region, and visited pages to optimize server performance and search speed.
Our interactive audio features (such as Karplus-Strong acoustic guitar string physical synthesis, 6-string digital guitar tuner, and audio ear training quizzes) are processed 100% locally in your browser via the Web Audio API. We never access your microphone without explicit interaction, record your audio, or send audio streams to our servers.
When you activate Stage Mode (Stage / Fullscreen Zen Mode), the platform requests standard browser Screen Wake Lock permission to prevent your mobile or tablet screen from dimming or locking while playing. We do not collect device telemetry, motion sensors, or device fingerprints.
The generation of PDF Songbooks and chord sheet printing occurs entirely in client-side browser memory using JavaScript libraries. Your chord sheets and personal musical annotations are never uploaded to third parties for document rendering.
3 How We Use Information
Collected information is used exclusively to:
- Deliver verified lyrics, chords, and interactive 3-instrument diagrams (Guitar, Piano, Ukulele) accurately.
- Preserve your practice session settings, key transpositions, and favorite setlists.
- Enhance musical accuracy and expand the Indonesian song catalog.
- Prevent system abuse, spam attacks, and security vulnerabilities.
4 Cookies & Third-Party Services
ChordGitar.in uses essential cookies and local storage to secure login sessions and remember your navigation preferences. We also integrate official third-party media players: the YouTube IFrame API (to provide synchronized scrolling karaoke lyrics via Audio-Sync) and the Spotify Embed Widget for original recording references. Interactions with these embedded players are governed by the respective privacy policies of Google/YouTube and Spotify, which may set third-party cookies according to their policies.
5 Data Security & Protection
We apply industry-standard SSL/TLS (HTTPS) encryption to all data transmissions. We never sell, rent, or trade personal user data to third parties for commercial marketing purposes.
