Unwritten Law

Unwritten Law is an acclaimed American punk rock, melodic skate-punk, and alternative rock band formed in Poway, California (San Diego County), in 1990 by charismatic frontman, guitarist, and primary songwriter Scott Russo alongside Steve Morris, Wade Youman, and Pat Kim. Emerging alongside contemporaries like Blink-182 and Pennywise, Unwritten Law became a defining pioneer of the Southern California punk rock movement. In 2002, the band achieved massive international chart-topping success with their landmark album 'Elva', propelled by the blistering modern-rock smash hit single 'Seein' Red' (which held the Number One spot on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart for four consecutive weeks) and 'Up All Night'. Their acclaimed acoustic album 'Music in High Places' and 2005 studio record 'Here's to the Mourning' spawned the massive acoustic-rock anthem 'Save Me' (co-written with Linda Perry) and 'Celebration Song'.
