Vampire Weekend

Vampire Weekend is an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2006 by Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Baio, and Chris Tomson. The group became known for combining indie rock with chamber pop, Afro-pop influences, intricate guitar parts, and literate songwriting. Their breakthrough songs include “A-Punk,” “Oxford Comma,” and “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa.” The band's albums Modern Vampires of the City and Father of the Bride both won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. With a catalog that balances rhythmic guitar work, melodic arrangements, and distinctive songwriting, Vampire Weekend has become an important modern reference point for indie and alternative guitar players.
