Walk the Moon is a celebrated American pop-rock, synth-pop, and indie-rock band formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2006 by lead vocalist and keyboardist Nicholas Petricca. Drawing their name from The Police's song 'Walking on the Moon', the band quickly distinguished themselves with their infectious 80s-inspired synthpop melodies, colorful face paint, and exuberant live energy.
