Wilco

Wilco is an internationally revered, two-time Grammy Award-winning American alternative rock, alt-country, and experimental indie-rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1994 by singer, guitarist, and master songwriter Jeff Tweedy alongside bassist John Stirratt. Over three decades of groundbreaking musical evolution, Wilco has established themselves as one of the most artistically celebrated American rock bands in history. Their seminal 2002 album 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' is universally hailed as one of the greatest albums of all time (named by Rolling Stone and Pitchfork atop decade-end rankings), spawning legendary anthems including 'Jesus, Etc.', 'Heavy Metal Drummer', 'I Am Trying to Break Your Heart', and 'War on War'. Other masterpiece records such as 'A Ghost Is Born' (Grammy winner), 'Summerteeth' (1999), and 'Sky Blue Sky' (2007) showcased guitarist Nels Cline's virtuosic avant-garde soloing and Glenn Kotche's intricate percussion. Wilco's seamless blending of warm acoustic Americana, lush Beatlesque orchestral pop, and experimental noise rock has headlined landmark festivals and sold out arenas globally. For guitarists, Wilco's catalog is a masterwork of acoustic chord craft. From the iconic, silky changes of 'Jesus, Etc.' (Am - F - C - G) to the complex fingerpicking of 'Impossible Germany', their chords and tabs are essential canon for serious guitarists worldwide.
