Release: Fase Baru Vol. 1
From Singaraja to a More Personal Chapter
Balinese singer-songwriter Gede Angga Prasaja is opening a new phase of his musical journey with Fase Baru, a 10-song project planned for release in three volumes.
The first volume, Fase Baru Vol. 1, is scheduled for September 30, 2026 and introduces three songs: “Siapkan Hati,” “Menahan Bayangmu,” and “Terlalu Sulit.” “Siapkan Hati” serves as the focus track.
Angga previously built part of his musical identity around Singaraja, including songs such as “Singaraja Kota Kita” and “Senja di Singaraja.” With Fase Baru, the songwriting moves toward more personal themes.
A Three-Volume Release Strategy
Rather than releasing all ten songs at once, Angga is dividing the album into three volumes.
This gives each group of songs space to be heard and allows listeners to follow the project as it develops.
For an independent artist, the strategy also creates multiple release moments instead of a single launch date.
The Three Opening Songs
“Siapkan Hati” focuses on preparing oneself for change and uncertainty.
“Menahan Bayangmu” explores longing, separation and memories that remain after someone is gone.
“Terlalu Sulit” addresses complicated relationship dynamics and the difficult process of accepting reality.
Together, the three songs introduce the emotional direction of the wider project.
A Shift From Place to Personal Experience
The change is notable because Angga's earlier work was closely connected to Singaraja as a place and memory.
Fase Baru turns inward. The central subjects become relationships, longing, acceptance and the courage required to face change.
Fase Baru represents a deliberate change in Gede Angga Prasaja's songwriting direction.
The project retains the storytelling quality of his earlier work while moving from memories of a specific city toward more universal themes of relationships, uncertainty and personal growth.
